Musical biography
Before becoming a dancer, Alexis’ passion was music. Thoughout her teenage years, she was consistently involved in musical projects, from playing flute and drums in school bands, being frontwoman for her friend’s band, or singing for hundreds as part of stage school productions, it’s safe to say Alexis was obsessed with music.
Alexis plays guitar, drums, flute, recorder, and sings. She developed an interest in Electronic Music as a teenager, being fed a diet of House Music by her DJ older brother (Filthy Funk Funk), alongside her passion for Rock, Metal and Indie. This interest only developed further as she discovered the likes of Amon Tobin and Bonobo through her involvement in the fusion dance scene, and a new musical obsession was born.
Alexis’ favourite electronic music genres are Trap, Lo-Fi and House, and these influences clearly shine through in her musical creations. Her love for percussion and heavy bass combine with gentle and elegant melodies to create a unique sound experience for the listener.
